A few things worth asking first.
We answer the questions that tend to arrive before the vocabulary does, from what a peptide is to what a prescription can and cannot establish.
Juventa Peptides may earn money when readers become Promise patients.
Begin wherever the question begins.
The names can make this subject feel more settled than it is. These answers distinguish ordinary biology, research findings and access to care. For the longer account of the four measured changes, start with what fades with age.
What does peptide mean?
A peptide joins a small number of amino acids into a chain. Amino acids are the building blocks also used in proteins. A shared chemical category does not give different peptides the same job or evidence.
Is NAD+ actually a peptide?
No. NAD+ is a coenzyme, a helper molecule used by enzymes in chemical reactions. Its place in a treatment directory does not change what it is.
Does a falling level mean I need more?
A lower age-associated measurement is an observation. It does not establish a deficiency, identify the cause of a concern or show that raising the level has a useful clinical result.
Does MOTS-c fall everywhere in the body?
That would overstate the finding. A study in healthy men found lower circulating MOTS-c in the older group but higher levels in muscle. Those measurements did not test MOTS-c treatment.
Is sermorelin the same as growth hormone?
Sermorelin copies part of the signal that prompts the pituitary gland to release growth hormone. It is not growth hormone itself, and it depends on a gland capable of responding.
Is sermorelin FDA-approved today?
The former products’ approvals ended in 2009. Their earlier uses included childhood growth-hormone deficiency, rather than adult aging. Current compounded sermorelin preparations are not FDA-approved medicines.
Are GHK and GHK-Cu identical?
GHK is a three-building-block peptide. GHK-Cu is the peptide bound to copper. Research on one form cannot simply be credited to the other; the age-related plasma measurement concerns GHK.
How much can a mouse experiment tell us?
It can test a biological idea in a living animal. It cannot establish the effect or safety of a medicine in people. Even interesting mouse results leave a separate human question.
Does Promise Peptides prescribe at present?
Yes. Promise Peptides currently connects U.S. patients with licensed U.S. providers for prescription review. Each request is assessed, a provider decides, and some people are ineligible. Treatment and state both affect access.
Does sending a request guarantee a prescription?
A licensed U.S. provider reviews the request and makes the decision. A review can end with a decision that the person is ineligible. Availability also depends on the patient’s state and the treatment being considered.
Is the platform itself a pharmacy?
Promise connects patients and providers through its telehealth platform. Preparation belongs to licensed compounding pharmacies in the United States. The resulting compounded medicines prepared for these prescriptions are not FDA-approved; platform certification does not change that status.
What does compounded mean?
It means a medicine is prepared for a prescription instead of supplied as an approved finished drug. Compounded medicines prepared for these prescriptions are not FDA-approved; the FDA has not checked each preparation before it is marketed.
What does LegitScript certification establish?
LegitScript has certified the Promise service. That is a certification of the service, not FDA approval of a compound or a pharmacy-prepared medicine.
The FDA’s compounding explanation and peptide safety page offer useful regulatory context. A catalog and a research paper are answering different questions; neither establishes an individual reader’s medical needs.
For compound-specific reading, the four-way comparison points to the separate guides. The uncertainty is easier to follow when the substance, preparation and kind of study stay attached to the finding.
A question can be the next step.
Promise Peptides connects U.S. patients with licensed U.S. providers who examine every request and decide whether prescribing is appropriate. The review may find that a person does not qualify. Access differs with the patient’s state and the treatment. Licensed U.S. compounding pharmacies prepare prescriptions; compounded medicines prepared for these prescriptions are not FDA-approved.
Promise’s LegitScript certification does not give a medicine FDA approval.
